A real review, in plain language
Sample accessibility findings.
These five anonymised findings come from a review of sampled public shopping pages. Each one describes a barrier, its severity and what it means for the person using the website.
Five barriers. A clearer picture.
1 high · 2 medium · 2 low
- HIGH
Finding 1
Keyboard focus stays behind the open basket
After an item is added, Tab moves through the obscured page instead of into the basket controls. Escape closes the panel.
- MEDIUM
Finding 2
Some shopping controls have no usable name
Screen-reader shoppers may not know which controls open the mobile menu or wishlist, submit a search, change quantity or move to more products.
- MEDIUM
Finding 3
Some labels and buttons have weak colour contrast
Sold-out labels, basket recommendation buttons and some support or newsletter text can be difficult to read for shoppers with low vision.
- LOW
Finding 4
Some page headings and sections lack clear structure
People using heading or section navigation may find it harder to locate and understand parts of the shop.
- LOW
Finding 5
The order-note control points to a missing panel ID
Assistive software cannot identify the order-note panel from the control’s recorded relationship, making the basket structure less clear.
